Unpacking the Refrigerator

When your new Alto Shaam refrigerator arrives, the first step is to unpack the unit carefully. Begin by inspecting the packaging for any signs of damage during transit. Make sure to use a box cutter or scissors to safely remove the packaging, being cautious not to scratch the surface of the refrigerator. Once unpacked, ensure all accompanying accessories, manuals, and parts are present by referring to the provided checklist. It is crucial to retain all original packaging materials in case a return or service arrangement is necessary.

Locating the Suitable Area

Selecting the ideal location for your refrigerator is vital for optimal performance. Choose a space that is well-ventilated and away from direct sunlight or any heat sources, such as ovens or heaters. Make sure there's enough clearance around the unit for effective air circulation—typically, at least 2 inches on each side and 4 inches at the back. The floor should be sturdy and capable of bearing the refrigerator’s weight. Additionally, avoid placing the refrigerator on uneven surfaces to prevent operational issues.

Connecting to Power Supply

Once the refrigerator is situated in its designated spot, connect it to a power supply. Ensure that the power outlet is grounded and suits the voltage specifications of the refrigerator, as stated in the manual. Avoid the use of extension cords as they can cause electrical hazards and affect the refrigerator’s performance. Plug the cable into the socket firmly to establish a secure connection. Make sure all connections are dry before plugging in to prevent any risk of shock or damage.

Adjusting the Level and Balance
