Installation

Unpacking the Refrigerator

When your Elkay refrigerator arrives, it is crucial to unpack it carefully to avoid damage. Start by carefully removing all tape and packaging material from around the appliance. Ensure no small components are left within the packaging that may be needed during installation. Examine the refrigerator exterior for any dents or scratches that may have been caused during shipping. If damage is found, contact your retailer immediately.

Necessary Tools and Materials

For a successful installation, having the right tools and materials on hand will save time and ensure everything is assembled correctly. The following is a list of required items:

• Phillips and flathead screwdrivers
• Adjustable wrench
• Level
• Tape measure
• Pliers
• Drill and drill bits (if mounting or securing is necessary)
• Teflon tape (for water connections)

Having a spare set of AA or AAA batteries for the display panel, if applicable, can also be useful should the original set be missing or low on power.

Choosing the Right Location
